2016 Hawaii Volunteer Leaders Conference

The County of Maui, Department of Housing and Human Concerns, Volunteer Center is pleased to announce the 2016 Hawaii Volunteer Leaders Conference, Maui’s largest gathering of volunteer leaders and directors! This is going to be a fantastic one-day event, held on January 29th at the beautiful King Kamehameha Golf Course in Wailuku, Maui. It’s the perfect opportunity for volunteer leaders to take a break from the everyday hustle-and-bustle, network with their peers, and enhance their careers.  Fun door prizes, awesome food and an opportunity to learn from high caliber leaders.

This conference will feature several influential speakers, including keynote speaker Thomas McKee, a professional volunteer trainer, speaker and author of three books. His KeyNote, “Mobilizing the Power & Passion of a Whole New Breed of Volunteers” will be followed up by a workshop led by Jonathan McKee, a coauthor and fellow speaker. His workshop, “Understanding, Recruiting and Leading the Smartphone Generation,” will teach participants how to inspire and manage tech-savvy volunteers more effectively.


The 2016 Hawaii Volunteer Leaders Conference will be held on January 29th from 8:00am-4:00pm at the King Kamehameha Golf Course. The cost is $75 per person, and includes a continental breakfast, lunch and snacks — plus the chance to win some great door prizes!
